well I did try with gdbb

Neophyte here:
surrised about the linux-vdso.so.1.
I havn't enabled CONFIG_COMPAT_VDSO in kernel as it say:
Say N here if you are running a sufficiently recent glibc
version (2.3.3 or later), to remove the high-mapped
VDSO mapping and to exclusively use the randomized VDSO.
and
I have glibc-2.15-r3

net-p2p/gtk-gnutella-0.98.4 was built with the following:
USE="(consolekit) dbus gtk (multilib) nls (policykit) ssl" ABI_X86="64"
Comment 3 jms 2013-08-09 18:19:37 UTC
looks like upstream bug.
please have a look at this:
http://sourceforge.net/p/gtk-gnutella/bugs/524/?page=0

been fixed upstream in git it seems.

can start gtk-gnutella with
export G_SLICE=always_malloc
Comment 4 Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2013-08-12 18:03:49 UTC
I've discussed this with upstream and their advice is to wait for the next release, so we'll do that. "export G_SLICE=always_malloc" is the recommended workaround in case you have problems with this.
Comment 5 ernsteiswuerfel archtester 2013-09-05 23:09:16 UTC
Seems to be fixed in version 1.0.0, released on 01.09.2013:

"Fixed posix_memalign() so that we can now run with glib 2.36 and upwards."
see http://gtk-gnutella.sourceforge.net/de/?page=news
Comment 6 Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2013-09-10 16:02:17 UTC
Fixed with gtk-gnutella 1.0.0 now in the tree.
