I don't continue instalation Gentoo on Sun Blade 100, becouse after command
# emerge genkernel
appear this command

Can you try to sync and use a newer genkernel?
I'm closing as solved since that beta's source was pointing to brad's personal webspace space rather than a mirror, and when he was gone it got broken.
It's fixed in newer portage snapshots / cvs.
