These packages use ruby.eclass and have newer versions available with ruby-ng support: app-dicts/prime-dict-1.0.0 app-i18n/prime-1.0.0.1 app-i18n/rskkserv-2.95.3-r1 dev-libs/suikyo-2.1.0-r1 net-irc/rbot-0.9.10-r1 These packages need to be migrated or dropped: sci-biology/bioruby -- all versions www-apache/passenger-2.2.15{,-r1} (>=3.x.x ruby-ng)
(In reply to Manuel Rüger from comment #0) > www-apache/passenger-2.2.15{,-r1} (>=3.x.x ruby-ng) Dropped these versions.
Deprecated gems.eclass has also only one consumer left: net-irc/rbot-0.9.10-r1

Everything has been migrated, let's deprecate the eclasses now or should we clean up our overlay first?
As far as I can tell gems.eclass is no longer used anywhere and can be deprecated right now. ruby.eclass is still used by dev-ruby/fcgiwrap in the overlay, and app-i18n/rskkserv in gentoo (already masked, due 30-dec-2013). I've just removed fcgiwrap from the overlay, but I guess it would be nice to wait until rskkserv is actually removed before deprecating the eclass.
rskkserv was removed some days ago.
07 May 2014; Manuel Rüger <mrueg@gentoo.org> gems.eclass, ruby.eclass: ruby.eclass and gems.eclass have been deprecated by ruby-ng.eclass and ruby-fakegem.eclass. Removal in 30 days. See bug #479812.
Eclasses removed.
