Description Michael Weber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-07-31 18:31:29 UTC
Hello folks,
The latest release/arm/autobuilds for stage3-armv6j{_hardfp} are dated Feb 06th and 7th 2013 [1,2], armin76 is the most likely author, but he's devaway.

Since I've been equipped with a donated Raspberry Pi for Gentoo work, I'd like to offer stage3-armv6j{_hardfp} autobuilds and upload these.

I ask for membership in group exp_arm on woodpecker to upload my files from [3].

Who elses approval do I need?

Thanks

Hi.

If you want to work on automated builds, please join #gentoo-releng.
We expect anyone wanting to work on that to join the team and alias.
How did you build the stages? What specs did you use?

From #gentoo-releng

18:19:41 < xmw> jmbsvicetto: hello, i'm already lurking around over here. I've
                added myself to release and releng mail alias. should I add
                myself to the project page at
                gentoo/xml/htdocs/proj/en/releng/index.html?
Day changed to 02 Aug 2013
01:14:19 <@jmbsvicetto> xmw: please do
-> done

01:14:35 <@jmbsvicetto> xmw: The autobuild stuff should be running on gentoo
                        hardware
-> this hardware is donated to me/gentoo, i can host it (on my desk) and it can be considered gentoo hardware.

01:14:55 <@jmbsvicetto> xmw: I'd start by uploading your work to /experimental
-> ack.

01:15:39 <@jmbsvicetto> xmw: In any case, we should know how you're building
                        the stages. Are you doing it with catalyst? Manually?
                        If you're using catalyst, what specs are you using?
catalyst runs, i have little issues (distcc remains in root dir) but I rebuild em without distcc but with binpkg caches.
I rsync'd parts of my catalyst dir to [1], containing the specs and how I invoced catalyst in README.
I had to use a local usb disk, since nfs didn't work out.

I'm not the author of those stages, dagger is. I'm adding him to cc.

Also infra doesn't have nothing to do here, i'm removing them.

@dagger: what's up with the autobuilds?
Comment 4 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-08-26 07:36:05 UTC
I built updated stages and they are on the mirrors.

Steev offered to do the autobuilds from now on

Closing this since steev is doing the builds now.
