From the URL: Package: datefudge (1.12) Fake the system date This program (and preload library) fakes the system date so that programs think the wall clock is ... different. The faking is not complete; timestamp on files are not affected in any way. This package is useful if you want to test the date handling of your programs without changing the system clock. Examples: Does it handle expired certificates correctly? Does it work on a leap day?
Created attachment 29283 [details] datefudge-1.12.ebuild I have it under app-misc in my overlay.
Created attachment 30534 [details, diff] datefudge-1.12.ebuild.diff changed the header, and keywords i limited to ~x86. also cleaned the ebuild uo generally. i also believe sys-apps is more apropriate than app-misc. i tested ebuild on 3 machines, works perfect. i changed the make install to emake install, einstall dont work, it causes sandbox violation,
I'm not adding this to portage as I don't think a lot of people will use it. Thanks for the ebuild though.
At the end, this tool is cool for dev unit testing. My guess is that Gentoo has packages that are a lot more useless then that. As they use it in there build system, the Telepathy people will probably take care of it eventually, let's hope.
