Description Rick Farina (Zero_Chaos) gentoo-dev 2013-07-27 01:46:56 UTC
libbfio is an optional dep of libewf which is keyworded for hppa and ppc which I cannot test. Please assist.

please remove from package.use.mask after adding keyword

Marked ~hppa.

I'm (again) not impressed with the ebuilds, by the way.

Since you're apparently packaging libbfio yourself, you could drop the versionator stuff and simply distribute files that match ${PV}.

Also, DEPEND and RDEPEND are empty, so why set them?

Also, why commit three ebuilds? Isn't the most recent one enough?

Also, longdescription in metadata.xml is empty, so you don't need it.

All three were added to the tree for a reason, each one of them is compatible with different things. If you would be kind enough to mark them all hppa that would be great.

I'm not packing it myself at all. I'm using the files distributed by upstream.

People used to whine if they weren't defined, similar to people wanting SRC_URI defined even when unused. I agree with you, people have changed, and I prefer to not define empty variables as well. Fixed.

If it was, I wouldn't have commited three.

Fixed

Thanks for the feedback.

Nothing to do?
Comment 7 Rick Farina (Zero_Chaos) gentoo-dev 2013-07-27 20:53:54 UTC
This bug really isn't proper, to avoid a confusing comment trail I'm closing and opening a proper bug.
