I just noticed that the firmware for my Lenovo T61p with Intel wireless chip was silently dropped. Are there any plans to add it back (probably as sys-firmware/iwllegacy-ucode, along with the iwl3965 support) ? Thanks!

Awhile ago, many of the separate firmware packages were dropped in favor of linux-firmware.
If iwllegacy-ucode was one of those, this bug is INVALID.

Thanks, Rafał. Apparently the missing firmware files are indeed now located in the linux-firmware ebuild. I'll test it out right now.

Still I'm annoyed that this change happened without any notice or deprecation warning (or I must have missed it ...).
