please retry with fully updated systemd, 2.28.2 builds fine for me
Comment 4 Nils Larsson 2013-08-01 13:18:44 UTC
I'm hitting this bug too, using sys-apps/systemd-206-r1. Why does systemd matter here?

I assume Pacho meant "system", not "systemd". Too many systemd-related troubles recently...
Comment 6 Nils Larsson 2013-08-01 13:31:07 UTC
Eh. Right. Thought it might be something todo with libpng:1.6 so I did:

emerge -1 libpng:1.5
emerge -1 x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf

And it worked! Then I ran:

emerge -c libpng:1.5
emerge -1 x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf

And that worked too. So I'm happy.
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2013-08-01 18:20:07 UTC
This should occur any longer as newer ebuilds depend on libpng:= => that will trigger a rebuild after updating libpng
