Description Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-13 07:43:46 UTC
Mostly when you lack /dev/ttyS?, for example when the system is udev, you lack standard serial ports on the machine, or lack serial ports at build time (my notebook has none and i use a usb dongle that's not always plugged in).
The ebuild should probably configure --disable-dfl-port, or patch it to also test /dev/tts/? (first solution is cleaner).

I can not reproduce this and I am running udev
Comment 2 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-10 13:42:39 UTC
yet another WORKSFORME.

I use udev, removed /dev/ttyS? and /dev/tts.
minicom-2.00.0 merged just fine.

Feel free to close it since i lack access to the box where this happened to try again. Thanks.
