Description JY 2013-07-15 11:19:28 UTC
When trying to list stonith resources with command :
crm ra list stonith , only fence_pcmk and fence_legacy are returned as available plugins, even though /usr/lib64/stonith/plugins has many plugins installed.

the "stonith -L" command displays thoses resources.

crm use the "crm_resource --list-agents stonith" command to list availables plugins.
This command displays an error "generic plugin load failed: 5" when trying to load generic.so plugin.

Using LD_DEBUG=all on both "crm_resource --list-agents stonith" and "stonith -L" commands, it seems that when crm_resource try to load generic.so, the linker returns an error:
"/usr/lib64/heartbeat/plugins/InterfaceMgr/generic.so: error: symbol lookup error: undefined symbol: PIL_strerror (fatal)" while stonith -L successfully loaded this symbol from libpils.so which is referenced only by stonith in the DT_NEEDED ELF header.

Quick fix : having LD_PRELOAD to loads libpils.so and libstonith.so (solves a similar problem with stonith external.so plugin for another unresolved symbol)

Trying to change linker options adding -lpils and -lstonith in cluster-glue which provides external.so and generic.so files fails as pils and stonith are installed in a package which depends on cluster-glue, thus linker complains that libpils and libstonith do not exist when installing thoses packages from scratch

Trying to fiddle with linker options in pacemaker making crm_resource binary reference libpils.so and libstonith.so in the DT_NEEDED header may be resolving the problem (for crm_resource at least)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install pacemaker and cluster-glue
2. launch crm_resource --list-agents stonith
3. launch stonith -L
Actual Results:
stonith has entries that crm_resource does not have

Expected Results:
both output should be similar

Plz try with newer pacemaker and reopen if needed, sorry.
