Description Gilles OLIVIER 2013-07-15 00:25:19 UTC
Affected configurations :

Gentoo Linux
OpenRC 0.11.8 (previous versions also i guess)
/var (mounted filesystem)
nscd used and cache enable for group (shared service = yes)

when a reboot or shutdown is initiated it does not end completely, both
processes /sbin/rc reboot | shutdown (parent and child) are killed during /etc/init.d/localmount stop by /lib/rc/sh/rc-mouunt script when trying (via
fuser -k) to umount the /var filesystem.
This because both /sbin/rc processes have mapped (mmap call by libc) the
/var/db/nscd/group file.

Although it think it is not easy to find a solution to this problem will it be considered given the context (/var mounted fs especially) in which it occurs ?
