Clearly, Nexuiz needs OpenGL support in SDL, thus, the dependencies must be adjusted accordingly. Otherwise it will fail, e.g., with:

Initializing Video Mode: fullscreen 1920x1200x32x60hz
Linked against SDL version 1.2.15
Using SDL library version 1.2.15
Unable to load GL driver "(null)": No dynamic GL support in video driver
Desired video mode fail, trying fallbacks...

Changing the flag manually fixes the problem.
