Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2013-07-13 20:19:31 UTC
It says:
File/etc/locale.confConfiguration file for locale settings.
LANG="pl_PL.UTF-8"
LC_ALL="pl_PL.UTF-8"

But Handbook suggests to change other variables:
Code Listing 3.8: Setting the default system locale in /etc/env.d/02locale
LANG="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="C"

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2013-07-13 20:32:45 UTC
The docs team has previously expressed that they do not want to document systemd stuff in the Handbook at this time.

We can keep this open until they change their minds I guess.
Comment 2 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2013-07-13 20:33:37 UTC
Also, I have no idea why the handbook suggests LC_COLLATE="C"... that seems arbitrary.
Comment 3 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2013-07-13 20:35:32 UTC
Hmm... actually, having the LC_ALL line in locale.conf makes no sense at all. I changed it to match the handbook.

Thanks!
