At the time ebuild was writen, 2.7.4 was the latest version of cgminer.
Yet, the ck.kolivas.org layout is done in a way that the latest version, and outdated ones are kept in different ways.
When for the latest 3.3.1 its /apps/cgminer/cgminer-3.3.1.tar.bz2
for now outdated 2.7.4 its /apps/cgminer/2.7/cgminer-2.7.4.tar.bz2
Current ebuild fetches cgminer from /apps/cgminer/cgminer-2.7.4.tar.bz2, and of course gets a 404 as it no longer exists.

As a fix, checking both possible addresses is a good solution.
Also, in my opinion it anyway should be updated to 3.3.1/3.3.0.

1. emerge cgminer
Actual Results:  
It have failed to fetch the package.

Expected Results:  
A properly fetched package.

Hello, cgminer-2.7.4 does not longer exist in the portage tree (see http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/net-misc/cgminer/), please update your tree.

Versions 3.3.0 and 3.3.1 (the current available) fetch correctly - so closing this bug. If you're refering to some overlay please reopen this bug and specify.
