Xf86Config / startx xxxxgli.o unresolved error when configuring SiS620 video card. Machine is HP Vectra Vli7 with bilt in SiS 620 AGB video card. when configuring xwindow I used XF86Config, selected SiS620 when I "startx" I get xxxxxgli.o unresolved errors. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Xf86Config 2.finish Monitor stuff 3.Select SiS620 video card 4. startx Actual Results: I get xxxxxgli.o unresolved errors Expected Results: started tvm xwindow interface Eventually (after every combination / permutation of SiS 520 / 620) I tried SiS63XX driver and got it to work. (config details sid it was using generic vesa driver) SiS620 built in video has AGB 3D, 4096MB RAM built in. I tried lspci and it said SiS 520/620 I presume generic vesa has no 2d/3d acceleration. I got fairly upset with it for over a week recompiling and changing options and sent a few e-mails to sven about my experiences with the installation instructions using the e-mail address peter.coghlan@au.chh.com Next machine for me to try gentoo on will have an NVIDIA card in it.
