What exact version are you running? Also try to run it from a terminal and post here the output. I cannot reproduce this

Please provide "emerge -pv gnome-documents" output. Also, I guess you are waiting some time...

Also try on a new created user account

This is the output of 'emerge -pv gnome-documents':
----------------------------------------------------
polslinux@gentoo ~ % emerge -pv gnome-documents

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild   R   #] gnome-extra/gnome-documents-3.8.3.1  0 kB

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB
----------------------------------------------------

i tried to:
* wait 15 minutes after the program show up;
* unmerge and re-emerge it;
but nothing changed!

I also tried with a new user and...it works! :)

I guess, you will need to start copying configuration dirs/files (those names ~/.*) to your fresh and working account until you find the offending old file :|
Comment 7 Paolo 2013-06-28 07:37:28 UTC
Solved :)
I deleted the content of
~/.cache/tracker/*
and
~/.local/share/tracker/*
and now is all ok :)

Thanks for your help!
