i'm not that sure if neverball 1.2 really replaces neverputt.
in neverball 1.2 you can play the levels from neverputt, but you are bound to the steering of neverball. in neverputt steering was different and way more fun. i'm not sure if this a valid reason for keeping it in portage, so please comment on it.

I agree that the old neverputt was more fun, but there's not really much
we can do if upstream doesn't want to support it anymore. You might try
emailing the author to let him know you liked the old way better. I sure
have. Personally, I enjoyed the old neverputt far more than I've ever enjoyed
neverball.

Actually Neverputt is in the 1.2.0 ebuild, the binary is just not moved to the gamesbin after the compile.

I added this line to src_install in the neverball-1.2.0.ebuild after the "dogamesbin neverball || die" line to fix:

    dogamesbin neverputt || die

good point ;)

1.2.0-r1 installs this, sorry about that
