I've been using TMDA on Gentoo/Sparc for the past 8 months without a single issue. I suggest we unmask it for ~sparc.
Actually it already is. Is this not showing up in your tree?
I re-synced portage and I get the same result. rsync does seem to be updating properly because I'm getting updates on other packages. # emerge -s tmda Searching... [ Results for search key : tmda ] [ Applications found : 1 ] * net-mail/tmda [ Masked ] Latest version available: 1.0 Latest version installed: 1.0 Size of downloaded files: 390 kB Homepage: http://www.tmda.net/ Description: Python-based SPAM reduction system License: GPL-2
emerge -pv tmda will give you a more helpful explanation of why it's masked
# uname -a Linux stellar 2.4.25-sparc #1 SMP Thu Mar 25 01:36:42 EST 2004 sparc64 sun4u TI UltraSparc IIi (Sabre) GNU/Linux # emerge -pv tmda These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies !!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "tmda" have been masked. !!! possible candidates are: - net-mail/tmda-0.92 (masked by: ~keyword) - net-mail/tmda-1.0 (masked by: ~keyword) !!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.
It's still masked on my machine, but it's not a big deal. Let's move on to more important issues!
