Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2013-06-16 10:34:48 UTC
I couldn't find his recruitment bug

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Joshua Kinard gentoo-dev 2013-07-01 22:33:05 UTC
I don't have a recruitment bug. Seemant asked if I wanted to be a developer back in April of 2003, long before we started using bugzie for tracking the developer-training process.

Are you ok with reassigning then?

I looked through all the metadata.xml's in the tree and only sys-apps/zerofree sticks out as being directly maintained by me right now. I'll hold onto that one, since I don't think it will ever update again anyways (got it from debian, I think; used to zero out a virtual disk's space for compression).

Some packages owned by mips are ones I usually touch as well, mips-sources, sgibootcd, dvhtool, colo, etc. Those can stay as-is and I'll update them if needed (will work on mips-sources soon; the others probably don't have any new versions).

Any I miss?

Oops, that's sys-fs/zerofree, and it looks like its upstream did put out a new version last year.

Are you willing to maintain it then?

I also see you are a member of some herds: embedded, gcc-porting, mips and toolchain. Will you still work in all of them?

Thanks
Comment 6 Joshua Kinard gentoo-dev 2013-07-21 21:33:00 UTC
Yeah, I'll work on those few left that either I manage directly or as part of the MIPS team. Regarding herds, Best remove me from gcc-porting. I haven't done experimental w/ gcc since switching to a hardened profile, and that's making enough things interesting. Leave me in embedded, since I dabble in Android a little bit, and toolchain for now. And obviously, mips.

- dropped from gcc-porting

And I guess all is ready then :)

Thanks for your contribution!
