Since version KDE version 4.10.4, kde-base/kopete-4.10.4 fails to emerge. No problem with older versions. USE flags have been unchanged. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge kopete Actual Results: kopete failed to emerge Expected Results: expected result: kopete gets emerged I'll attach supporting documents to this bug report.

Hmmm... I run revdep-rebuild after every emerge. The new portage version anyway sets preserve-libs by default . But this broken link is not found. I tried again, but revdep-rebuild doesn't find any broken links. The bug occurs since the update from 4.10.3 to 4.10.4 only. No problem compiling kopete with the previous version. I'll check this library.
IIRC, revdep-rebuild doesn't detect missing symbols, just missing libs.
