Description John Blade Hewitt 2004-04-09 00:58:51 UTC
In the sdl-net and sdl-gfx latest ebuild the dependancy field requires >=libsdl-1.2.4 . Doesn't install dependancy and crashes with "use=sdl" in make.conf .

Not sure if this is an error in the emerge script - perhaps "DEPEND=media-libs/libsdl" instead of specific ?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Uninstall libsdl sdl-net, etc
2. Attempt to install sdl-net - emerge sdl-net

Actual Results:
Bombs out on sdl dependancy

Expected Results:
Should have continued emerge by getting dependancy

You didn't include the error output so it's hard to say why it's failing.
Can you attach the full output from the emerge attempt as a text/plain please.
I also notice you're running an older version of portage. Current portage
version at the moment is 2.0.50-r3
