Please unmask new media packages and add blockers to app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-* packages instead. Like it is done for x11 packages in app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs. All my desktop systems have no app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-* packages, i see no good reason for waiting until they are reworked. Also it seems to take too much time, almost 3 months. profiles/package.mask: # Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> (16 Mar 2013) # Waiting for new emul-linux-x86-{media,sound}libs without # the duplicate files.
Diego, could you please give it a tinderbox run ? At least vlc fails, but maybe others too. Thanks.
we now have 2014. flac-1.3.0 is from 2013-05-27. I guess it's time to get this into portage. thanks!
I unmasked it locally and re-emerged all packages I have which depend on libflac (many!). Well, all worked. So I guess it's time to unmask. thanks!
(In reply to Stefan Briesenick from comment #3) > I unmasked it locally and re-emerged all packages I have which depend on > libflac (many!). Well, all worked. So I guess it's time to unmask. thanks! fair enough, unmasked, thanks! i guess we shouldnt count on diego's tinderbox anymore...
