Description Markus Nigbur (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-08 09:48:17 UTC
For example, i select something like "mv /tmp/asdf /tmp/foobar" and paste into an aterm, i'll get this:

$ mv /tmp/asdf /tmp/foobarmv /tmp/asdf /tmp/foobarmv /tmp/asdf /tmp/foobar

Something in the -r3 copynpaste patch is borked, but i couldn't figure out what, yet.

Could you give me some more info about it? Does it happen when you copy data from some particular apps (like Mozilla, gvim, etc) or from all apps? Does it happen when you select text in the same aterm window you're pasting in? Does it happen when you select text in another aterm window? What are your LC_ALL and LANG settings?

Ah, it's also possible (but unlikely) that you have an old version of the patch. Please check aterm's Changelog for the following entry: "There was a nasty bug in the patch I created yesterday, so here it is - an updated version.". The nasty bug it's about was exactly what you described.

Alright, my aterm was patched with the bugged -r3. Guess something like that is worth a revision bump. :)
