At least dev-libs/ucl is missing in the ppc-stage3 to properly build a kernel with crypto-functions.  On future releases, please include dev-libs/ucl.

Stage 3 is taken from the system profile.  If UCL is a dependency required for building a part of the kernel, I would think it should be a dep of ppc-sources, no?

DEPEND="${DEPEND} >=dev-libs/ucl-1" in gentoo-dev-sources (which works with ppc)
so yep, it will get pulled in.
