Description Travis Tilley (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-07 19:43:27 UTC
I get an odd non-fatal error while installing baselayout... It has zero effect on anything whatsoever, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

>>> Install baselayout-1.8.7 into /var/tmp/portage/baselayout-1.8.7/image/ category sys-apps
 * ROOT=/
ln: creating symbolic link `/var/tmp/portage/baselayout-1.8.7/image//usr/X11R6/lib64' to `lib': No such file or directory
 * Installing utilities...

*shrug* Is it even supposed to be creating a lib64 symlink here? the latest xfree ebuilds and xorg-x11 both have host.def entries that tell it not to use lib64. (i'd like to note that on amd64, lib64 symlinks are ok and in some cases necessary... but this one seems to never get made and there seem to be no problems?)

Old baselayout version, please test a newer version and let me know if this problem still exists. The latest version is 1.8.12.

baselayout-1.8.7 is no longer in portage
