A new version of ion2 is out. The xftde patch is obsolete, as a bunch of function names have been changed. The function name changes will hopefully open up the way for xftde to be included in the core in a future revision, but for now, no antialiasing. The patch is therefore removed in my proposed ebuild, and an ewarn added noting this. Otherwise, the ebuild is basically the same as the previous one, with some values changed. I think that ${MY_PV} could be used in some places instead of the hardcoded paths, but I don't have time to test right now. This ebuild works for me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 28859 [details] proposed ebuild
Created attachment 28860 [details, diff] rename patch Renames ion to ion2 in binaries, manpages, etc. Also pwm to pwm2. This is to prevent conflicts with the standard, obsolete ion package.

Already in CVS, mate :-) (I follow ion@list.rt.fm too) Note that your ebuild has a couple of minor errors: - IUSE shouldn't include truetype - libtu headers are now in libtu/ not libtu/include/libtu; they don't get installed by your ebuild But thanks for the bug report. Cheers! Tom
