asdf-3 blocks dev-lisp/gentoo-init which is a dependency of ecls. Hence it is impossible to have both installed at the same time. This messes up the dependency calculation for my portage, so i masked asdf-3.

It is not: dns ~ # qdepends ecls dev-lisp/ecls-12.12.1-r4: dev-libs/gmp virtual/libffi >=dev-libs/boehm-gc-7.1[threads] >=dev-lisp/asdf-2.33-r3:0/3.0.1= app-text/texi2html virtual/emacs >=app-admin/eselect-emacs-1.12 dns ~ # qdepends -r ecls dev-lisp/ecls-12.12.1-r4: dev-libs/gmp virtual/libffi >=dev-libs/boehm-gc-7.1[threads] >=dev-lisp/asdf-2.33-r3:0/3.0.1= > Hence it > is impossible to have both installed at the same time. Aw, you're right -- sorry for the noise. I masked ecls-12.12.1-r4 because sci-mathematics/sage doesn't like it and thus missed the newest version, which seems to be the only shedding this dependency.
