xinetd refuses new connections if the load is too high. Try again at a later time.
(In reply to comment #1) > xinetd refuses new connections if the load is too high. I suggest to at least partially eliminate the cause of too high load. Possible solutions: - Automatically disable sources.gentoo.org functionality when load is >= 0.5 of minimal too high load. - Move sources.gentoo.org to another server than motmot.gentoo.org.
Reopening at Arfrever's request.
Alternative solutions would be nice, at least lately anoncvs seems to be basically unusable.
I'm working on bringing up some new hardware, and we can probably move anonvcs* to that (and keep sources.g.o on motmot.) -A
anoncvs uses swan.gentoo.org instead of motmot.gentoo.org since 2014-01-28. anoncvs was working since 2014-01-28 evening until yesterday and has not been working since yesterday.
Just to make my comments on IRC public. We manage mounts on a per-host basis (rather than a per-service basis.) The new host was missing some mounts required for the chroot'd anoncvs service to function. I added the mounts to swan and mounted them, and things appear to be working again. I also plan to add some service monitoring so we are alerted when anoncvs stops working, as it seems that people care about it ;) -A
