+ drop mod_systemd patch for now, since it requires more work in
+ apache-2.eclass, it will be available anyway in the next release, fix bug

Thanks Fabio
Comment 3 Juergen Rose 2013-05-26 04:45:54 UTC
I have the same error.
Comment 4 白川間瀬流 2013-05-28 17:37:24 UTC
This bug was closed at 21.05.2013 as "RESOLVED FIXED" but is still not fixed...

Either the bug should be re-opened (only found it because i searched with ALL) or this issue should be fixed.
Comment 5 Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2013-05-30 20:04:58 UTC
The current v1.4 ebuild mentions "# Note: wait for mod_systemd to be included in the next release" but it still inserts the 00_systemd.conf file which loads mod_systemd:

    # Note: wait for mod_systemd to be included in the next release,
    # then apache2.4.service can be used and systemd support controlled
    # through --enable-systemd
    systemd_newunit "${FILESDIR}/apache2.2.service" "apache2.service"
    systemd_dotmpfilesd "${FILESDIR}/apache.conf"
    insinto /etc/apache2/modules.d
    doins "${FILESDIR}/00_systemd.conf"

Should all 4 of these systemd-related lines be commented out for now?
Comment 6 Oleh 2013-06-04 14:53:54 UTC
likely, all those lines should be commented out, because, there is no proper systemd support as i can see...Also it should install systemd files only if systemd flag used or something, so far, files installed without any control.
Comment 7 Juergen Rose 2013-06-08 16:18:18 UTC
Is there any workaround to get a running apache? Should we mask >=apache-2.4.4-r3?
Comment 8 Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2013-06-08 16:25:01 UTC
You can just "rm /etc/apache2/modules.d/00_systemd.conf" to get it starting now, for a long-term fix the ebuild should be modified to remove the doins "${FILESDIR}/00_systemd.conf"
