In chap. 2 the handbook instructs the user to check the GPG signature on the installation medium. That's necessary to delegate the trust the user has in Gentoo Fdn to the installation medium stored on a mirror. The same check is in order in case of stage3 in chap. 5. Currently, the handbook only deals with checksums there.

Thanks; I've added a paragraph on using gpg there as well.

Fixed in CVS, will show up on the site in an hour or so.
