Description Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-05-18 21:11:14 UTC
Is it OK to stabilize =sys-devel/libperl-5.10.1-r1 ?

If so, please CC all arches which have stable keywords

for older versions of this package and add STABLEREQ keyword

to the bug.

Does it really make sense to? Are there things still depending on it?

For Perls >=5.12, even using sys-devel/libperl should be deprecated as I understand it.

As it is, Perl <=5.10.1 is now hardmasked, and stable is 5.12.3-r1 and 5.12.4-r1

I think this means we should be phasing its existence out, not so much stabilising it.
