Description Aron Griffis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-05 19:00:39 UTC
When trying to build gpdf-0.131 on alpha, the build died with GNOME_PRINT_KEY_DUPLEX undefined. This symbol isn't available in libgnomeprint-2.4.2, which is currently on the system. libgnomeprint-2.6.0 provides the symbol, so the DEPEND should be changed from >=gnome-base/libgnomeprint-2.3 to >=gnome-base/libgnomeprint-2.6

little problem here

no gnome installed

upgraded gpdf from 0.112.1 to 0.131

due to dependencies the following package get upgraded as well:
dev-libs/glib-2.4.0
x11-libs/pango-1.4.0
x11-libs/gtk+-2.4.0
gnome-base/libgnomeprint-2.6.0

after that gpdf does not work any more

with every pdf I open, gdpf just shows the top left corner of an empty (==white) page

launching it from a console don't show any error message

downgraded gpdf to stable and still the same problem

downgraded libgnomeprint to stable and eventually gpdf 0.112.1 works again

it seems that some debugging is still needed :)

That is another problem, so open another bug. Don't go trash other bugs with irrelevant info please.

Anyway, there seems to be such a problem already reported with some documents : http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39412

btw it seems you are one out of a few to experience such a problem, so the first check should be your system/settings.
