When using spell check with ispell in koffice (latest as of today), it let's you click once then blinks in and out as it goes throughout the document without letting you choose ignore or whatever. This bug is in KDE but everyone seems to be using gentoo so I suspect the problem is there.

This is still happening. I have koffice 1.3.5rc2, aspell 0.60.2. Afaik this    
has never been resolved for aspell or the patch offered in 
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65943 has never made it in.

The patch is included in koffice 1.3.5, so it seems it didn't properly fixed 
the bug. However, since there is evidence that this is not Gentoo specific, 
you should ask to reopen the kde bug.
