Description Dennis Schridde 2013-05-04 17:06:17 UTC
There seems to be some hardcoded path in app-i18n/im-chooser-1.6.2 or app-i18n/ibus-1.5.2. When selecting iBus in im-chooser, I get an error box and a console message:
(im-chooser:22561): libimchooseui-WARNING **: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._imsettings_2derror_2dquark.Code2: Failed to change to directory '/var/tmp/portage/app-i18n/ibus-1.5.2/temp' (No such file or directory)

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Dennis Schridde 2013-05-04 17:09:01 UTC
This probably comes from app-i18n/imsettings-1.5.0:
# imsettings-switch IBus
GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._imsettings_2derror_2dquark.Code2: Failed to change to directory '/var/tmp/portage/app-i18n/ibus-1.5.2/temp' (No such file or directory)

Please post your emerge --info ibus im-chooser imsettings. And dose this error occur after you re-login the session?
