New maintenance version released! http://www.xenproject.org/downloads/xen-archives/supported-xen-42-series/xen-422.html The ebuilds in the tree has to be modified in a few things: xen-4.2.2.ebuild the security patches at line 90 no more needed (they are fixed in 4.2.2) xen-tools-4.2.2.ebuild is fine based on 4.2.1-r1. (I suggest applying the memory leak fix in my other bugs by the way)
tell me your secret. xen-tools is missing a typdef xg_main.c and is looking for ghost files to install ocaml, Shall try the others later
This compile bug is present in the 4.2.1-r1 too, if I use ~amd64 keywords for the whole system. On an amd64 system only ~amd64 keywording the least needed packages 4.2.1-r1 and 4.2.2 builds fine. Sorry, I can't tell which dependency is the problem, I will try to look it up later, but this is my secret, and I use 4.2.2 on servers from the date of my last comment, and It's working fine. The problem is not with the 4.2.2 source changes.
The problem is not with the 4.2.2 source changes. Quite right. I've just updated my system in the last week so it's going to be un upgraded package, I suspect possibly glibc itself since in the fail in xen-tools it's not finding a typdef that it was finding before. I'll pin it in time
