Description Lance Zhang 2004-04-03 20:12:55 UTC
chinput is a Chinese input method. I use KDE as my window manager. When I invoke chinput from KDE, it prints the message and quit. I was wondering if the font was really absent in the ebuild.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.# emerge chinput
2.open a konsole in KDE, and type in: chinput &
3.

Actual Results:
This was the printed message:
Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL)
Basic: Cannot open font -*-*-*-*-*--16-*-*-*-*-*-big5-0

Expected Results:
a small bar should appear somewhere on top of the desktop. Where I can switch
between Chinese mode and English mode, and input correspondly.
