Created attachment 346654 [details, diff] newsbeuter-2.6-json-c.patch Here's a patch to let net-news/newsbeuter-2.6 build with dev-libs/json-c-0.11 . I did not test any other combination of versions. Alternatively, it would be simple to sed the change, as the string "json" is unique to this line in config.sh .

Created attachment 346752 [details, diff] newsbeuter-2.6-json-c.patch -r2 Once again I make a mess. Output when neither json or json-c is found is: You need package json-c in order to compile this program. Please make sure it is installed. You can download json-c from here: http://oss.metaparadigm.com/json-c/
The patch looks good. It would be nice if you could fork and provide a pull request here https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter so the upstream people can fix this properly Would you be able to do that?
(In reply to comment #6) > The patch looks good. It would be nice if you could fork and provide a pull > request here https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter so the upstream people > can fix this properly Done. https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter/pull/77 for reference.
The patch was merged upstream. https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter/commit/3141f790f0a05687e5e7835080b2eece6195d006
Thanks, fixed in CVS.
