I have found that other people have had this problem Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert live cd 2. Boot the live cd 3. let it go through its stuff until it tries to mount proc. Actual Results: The system will completly lock up, and the only way to get out of it is to hold down the powerbutton Expected Results: Continued loading things, then cam to a terminal where i can log in. 12in powerbook revb 1ghz g4 256mb of ram

We are working on a solution. The solution consists of putting a new kernel on the cds. I'll close this bug when I have uploaded 2.6.5_rc2 cds (should take a few days at max).
Was fixed in 2004.1, powered by a gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.5 kernel.
