Created attachment 345588 [details, diff] patch from http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=648449 This is an error which has been reported for debian 17 month ago http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=648449 together with a fixing patch. I can't tell how far that patch made it upstreams and back down to gentoo, but obviously it is not in gentoo's current util-linux-2.22.2 Attacked is that patch, only regenerated for line offset.
Mike, This is another case where we might want to take #449354 for our shutdown command. I have a feeling this is going to start cropping up more often as distros move towards a shutdown command that doesn't require -h.
