Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2013-04-14 10:34:47 UTC
After updating to latest revision, tabs looks shorter than normal to me (comparing with old joe, gedit or even less, for example)

Reproducible: Always

This is by design, I changed the ftyperc for ebuilds and eclasses so that it fits with the devmanual: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ebuild-writing/file-format/index.html#indenting-and-whitespace

If you prefer the old functionality you can copy /etc/joe/ftyperc to ~/joe/ftyperc and remove the -tab 4 line for ebuilds and eclasses.

Do you have any idea about why devmanual states a tab = 4 spaces? Looks like joe is now the only editor respecting that rule :/

It's because looks really "strange" to me to edit an ebuild and see it looking different that what will really be written when, for example, simply running "cat" :/
