I have found a little regresion:

# vigra-config
  File "/usr/bin/vigra-config", line 61
    print "1.8.0"
                ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Are you sure it's a regression?

python2 /usr/bin/vigra-config works
python3 /usr/bin/vigra-config doesn't

Well, I was using python3, you are right. But it's a bit weird that 1.7.1 works with python3 and 1.8.0 not.

You guys were aware that bug #417667 was still open on this package, weren't you?

That bug has just bitten me on two boxes, but there is no real damage.

Someone else pointed it out yesterday, which was too late...

See Bug 465428, Comment #0 where the actual request was made with arch's in CC list which is same as "bugs have been checked, go ahead"
But... It doesn't make sense to start reverting the whole process only for USE=doc now, so only way is forward...
