Created attachment 345192 [details] emerge --info from a system where the software builds and executes. There is a new version of w_scan made available by the author/developer. Web page URL: http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/index2.html Source code URL: http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/w_scan-20130331.tar.bz2 I have successfully downloaded, configured and built this version. I'm currently executing it as: ./w_scan -f t -c FR -x and it seems to do what it's supposed to do. A new ebuild would be great.
I can confirm, after the version bump the latest w_scan (20130331) works for me. But the currently in-tree w_scan (20121111) doesn't compile with the latest kernels. Please update to the 20130331.
w_scan-20130331 is in the tree so this bug should have been closed. Since it's still open I will request a version bump for w_scan-20140118. Changes since w_scan-20130331: -------------------- 2014-01-18 - improve scr - rewrite setup_scr() - take VCO offset caused by 4MHz step size into account. - check return value in set_frontend() - reduce delay after setting 18V LNB voltage to 5msec - reduce diseqc repeat to 100ms - remove a few comments and debug stuff - still experimental, waiting for tests - if you own such devices, pls send me logs: 'w_scan -fs -s SXXX (..) -u<ID>:<USERBAND>:<A|B> 2>&1 | tee log.txt' - VLC xspf - remove unused stuff && started to adopt to current vlc; but no doc avail for this VLC file format. :( - Sat scan: add missing check of setup_switch() return value. 2014-01-02 - add experimental(!) support for scr. i dont have spec && need testers for EN50494 for proper support. 2013-10-31 - update 19,2E, 23,5E, 28,2E. Thanks to John Horck.
oops, missed or didn't saw or noticed this bug in my mail reminder, anyway, updated to the latest w_scan-20140118 thx for the hints ;)
