Reemerging me-tv and revdep-rebuild did not help.

How about a gdb backtrace? The problem obviously isn't in the syscalls.

Now me-tv-client runs again partly, I.e., it is running for some hours, but then I can't switch to other channels. It seems me that some channels are missing. And then I can't use at all. Then I killed me-tv-server tried to setup dvb-t with gnome-dvb-setup from gnome-dvb-daemon-0.2.10, which failed, compare Bug 465866.
I started kaffeine, which worked. Closed kaffeine and started again me-tv-client. I can see 30 channels, but I still miss some channels (e.g. arte), but I can't see segfaults.

To see your channels in me-tv you need to import a channels.conf file in me-tv.

If you have problems you could try to remove the me-tv db ( ~/.local/share/me-tv/me-tv.db ) / config and re-import your channels.conf used for gnome-dvb

Further if you think you really have a bug please file a bug at the me-tv tracker here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/me-tv (as always please check first if maybe a bug already exists). -- if for some reason you can't/don't want to create an account there I can do it, but it'd be better if you did it so you also get answers/updates directly.

btw there are quite a few FAQ/answers there: https://answers.launchpad.net/me-tv

Anyway since the segfault seems to be gone I will change this bug to RESOLVED/NEEDINFO for now, so please let me know if I can close it (providing starting with a fresh config + channels.conf works for you) -- regarding setup,.. I recommend you ask on the MeTV launchpad page (they respond fast, also I am in the metv admin group so I do get questions there as well -- or if you want to you can email me, but I am not promising how fast I can answer as I am quite busy with work,.. atm ;)
