Description John E. Vincent 2004-04-01 14:26:58 UTC
When printing a pdf to cups that contains pdf form elements, elements that do not flag the field (optional flag), those elements are not printed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Print pdf containing pdf form fields directly to cups
2. Watch printer
3. Watch as printout does not contain all the information.

Actual Results:
Document printed sans dynamic field elements.

Expected Results:
Printed the document as a whole

I've created a patch and modified the ebuild to apply it. It builds on my server
now and works properly. See the link referenced to the CUPS str about this issue.

Test Case for pstopdf bug

Made the change to pdftops
flags = 4;

Problem still exists.
Heres a way to test it

1.open any pdf in acrobat
2.add a text field to it with some text inside it
3.save & exit
4.drop the pdf into linux
5.lp foo.pdf
6.the pdf prints with whatever was on there minus the newly added text field

ive supplied a test.pdf file
the first page contains 2 text fields with text entered by me.
when sent to the printer via cups in linux the 1st page should print with
the text i've added
