From revdep-rebuild:

[ 78% ]  *   broken /usr/lib64/libreoffice/share/extensions/pdfimport/xpdfimport (requires libpoppler.so.28)

So, the xpdfimport extension depends on libpoppler, and must be rebuilt when libpoppler is upgraded. EAPI5 provides a way to make this happen.

It is fixed in 4.0 branch. I don't plan to put anything more invasive to 3.6 branch as it is slowly phased out.
