I unmasked nessus and all of it's dependencies to build them, and they compiled and ran just fine. The ebuilds in question are: net-analyzer/nessus-2.0.10a net-analyzer/nessus-libraries-2.0.10a net-analyzer/libnasl-2.0.10a net-analyzer/nessus-core-2.0.10a net-analyzer/nessus-plugins-2.0.10a These ebuilds appear ready to get the "~amd64" Keyword applied. There was only one small problem I noticed. On the system running nessusd, the CPU utilization seemed higher than I would have expected (My Load Average was around 11). The program ran without errors, but was pushing my CPU far harder than I would have expected. This doesn't seem like a show-stopping bug to me to put this into unstable, however.
