Description Honza 2004-03-31 11:11:15 UTC
There are no ebuild named .*ogg.* which contains ogg123. Fortunately, I know that vorbis also hang together with ogg so I tried 'emerge vorbis-tools' and it helps.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge search ogg

Actual Results:
No ebuild containing ogg123 listed.

Expected Results:
Some ebuild called ogg123 which contain nothing and depend od vorbis-tools will
be nice.

ogg is the packaging format. vorbis is the sound format. vorbis-tools gives you ogg123... I fail to see the bug.

$ qpkg -I -v -f /usr/bin/ogg123
media-sound/vorbis-tools-1.0.1

OK. Alternativelly, you can use this as an IQ test for gentoo users: Who can't find out that that file with extension .ogg he/she just downloaded can be played with vorbis tools is not enough intelligent to use gentoo. Or it's just that 'emerge search' is not supposed to be so usefull I though (based on installation guide) ?
