'-ggdb' added unconditionaly in makefile, please remove it

seems like a waste of time.  the -ggdb flag doesn't cause problems, and doesn't affect generated code.  the debugging info it produces will get stripped before it's installed.

we don't have any patches in this area that already modify the code where we could also have it remove the -ggdb.
