I suggest to copy these lines from http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring to long-description:

GNOME Keyring is a collection of components in GNOME that store secrets, passwords, keys, certificates and make them available to applications.

It is integrated with the user's login, so that their secret storage can be unlocked when the user logins into their session.

DESCRIPTION should be <= 80 char as mentioned on http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ebuild-writing/variables/, but it might fit into longdescription as mentioned in 
http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ebuild-writing/misc-files/metadata/
