media-tv/tvtime uses the alsa use flag, however "equery uses media-tv/tvtime" displays the following:

# equery uses -a media-tv/tvtime
[ Legend : U - final flag setting for installation]
[        : I - package is installed with flag     ]
[ Colors : set, unset                             ]
 * Found these USE flags for media-tv/tvtime-1.0.2_p20110131-r3:
 U I
 + + nls      : Adds Native Language Support (using gettext - GNU locale utilities)
 - - xinerama : Add support for the xinerama X11 extension, which is mandatory if you work in multiple monitors setup
